Anti-racist Book Study: When God Became White
By Motoe Yamada Foor
We are excited to announce an enriching opportunity for spiritual growth and community transformation: our upcoming Anti-racist Book Study. You are invited to explore Dr. Grace Ji-Sun Kim's insightful book When God Became White: Dismantling Whiteness for a More Just Christianity.
Why Participate?
Our commitment to the gospel compels us to confront racism and work toward justice for all God’s children. This book delves into how whiteness has influenced Christian theology and practice, challenging us to rethink our beliefs, recognize our biases, and take tangible steps toward racial justice. Discipleship Ministries supports the ongoing efforts of the Council of Bishops, the General Commission on Religion and Race, and others with resources and opportunities that focus on anti-racist discipleship.
How to Join
To participate in this Anti-racist Book Study, sign up here. We welcome everyone, regardless of background or prior experience with anti-racism work. This study is for anyone willing to engage in honest dialogue and work toward a more just Christianity. Please register by August 20.
