"Bonhoeffer and the Future of Faith"
It is with great pleasure that I invite you to join Homebrewed Christianity for their upcoming open online class titled "Bonhoeffer and the Future of Faith." This class will explore the work of Dietrich Bonhoeffer and examine how his ideas remain relevant to the challenges we face today. It is FREE, but donations help support the continued AMAZING work of Homebrewed Christianity.
Bonhoeffer and the Future of Faith
Bonhoeffer was a German theologian and Lutheran pastor who lived during the tumultuous period of Nazi Germany. As a leader who actively opposed the Nazi regime, he embodied a discipleship of resistance in the face of persecution. Bonhoeffer's witness did not end in his execution, but his story and theological vision remain a constant inspiration and challenge to Christians around the world.
In this class, we will explore Bonhoeffer's ideas on faith, ethics, and resistance and dive into important questions about what it means to live out our beliefs in challenging times. We will also examine the ways in which Bonhoeffer's work speaks to the present moment and how we can draw on his insights to create a more just and compassionate world.
The class is offered entirely online, is donation based (including 0), and will include:
five keynote lectures from leading Bonhoeffer scholars
weekly sessions to dig into Bonhoeffer's texts with live QnA
curated readings for personal reflection
an online community with fellow participants.
a resource page with ongoing access to all the content in video and audio
No prior knowledge of Bonhoeffer or theology is required, and all are welcome to join. The class is structured so individuals and groups can utilize this unique learning opportunity to engage with Bonhoeffer and explore new ways of thinking about faith and our challenges.
We hope you will join us for this exciting online class. To register or learn more about the course, please visit our website [insert website link here].
