Madang Podcast: Susan Shaw, Ep.37
Welcome to Madang Podcast.
Madang is the outdoor living room of the world. Here, we invite you to sit and tune into unreserved, remarkable conversations with renown authors, leaders, public figures and scholars on religion, culture and everything in-between. This has been a dream of mine for many years and now it is a reality. Please join me at Madang Podcast hosted by the Christian Century.
This is the 37th episode of Madang where I converse with Susan M. Shaw on her co-written book, Surviving God: A New Vision of God through the Eyes of Sexual Abuse Survivors.. Susan Shaw is Professor of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Oregon State University. She is the author of many books such as, Reflective Faith, Women’s Voices, Feminist Visions and Intersectional Theology. “You can’t just quote Bible verses at survivors of sexual abuse and think that’s going to help them.” Susan Shaw
On this episode, Shaw talks with me about Surviving God, sexual abuse, images about God, intersectionality, joy and so much more.
